Peninsula State Park Camping Trip, October 2008

A version of this post originally appeared on my blog First Class Great Outdoors. Enjoy!

For my second real camping trip, Jason and I traveled north to Peninsula State Park in Door County.

Both Jason and I visited Door County as children, but neither of us visited the park. A couple of my co-workers raved about it — how beautiful it is and how nice the camping is. They weren’t lying.

Camping in Peninsula State Park was amazing! I didn’t want to leave (even though it rained throughout our stay). I immediately demanded that a camping trip to Peninsula become an annual thing.

Here are images from that first trip.

On the way home from Peninsula State Park, we stopped at Cave Point County Park on the eastern side of Door County. The winds were blowing particularly strong, so it was a perfect first visit!
